We’re looking for a Strategy Director (Chicago).

The Strategy Director  supports both strategic and content development efforts for the agency. The individual is responsible for taking a lead role Pivot’s discovery efforts, both facilitating and documenting sessions. The role collaborates with the Vice President Brand Strategy in authoring strategy presentations, and works within project teams to ensure that creative work aligns to the strategic imperatives and vision of our clients.

OVERVIEW

In conjunction with other members of the Strategy team, this individual delivers authentic and persuasive language for our clients and their projects while maintaining brand standards. The role plans and develops content and assists with articulating creative concepts across various media, including brand, print, sales and marketing materials; advertising; direct mail/direct response; email marketing; websites; and more.

The role is also responsible for the management, resource allocation, and mentoring of the Senior Writer and Writer positions. In addition, the individual works with the Digital Strategy Director to ensure all web and motion-related projects align with clients’ strategic goals.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Support the VP Brand Strategy in facilitating and documenting discovery sessions

Author and co-author strategic content for client presentations

Serve as a strategist to clients, ensuring that all plans, programs, and assets align with established brand strategy

Provide guidance to the creative team based on the creative brief, brand strategy, best practices, and knowledge of the client and their industry

Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of clients’ businesses, including their key issues and competitive situation

Support the development of brand rollout plans

Support new business development efforts on an as-needed basis, particularly in pitch development

Manage and mentor Senior Writer and Writer roles

REQUIREMENTS

7+ years experience in strategy/communications preferred, involving work in a team dynamic and communicating and interfacing directly with clients. You must have hands-on content and strategy development experience. We require exceptional communication skills, especially the ability to verbalize your strategic rationales clearly and directly.

We’re looking for a Medical Writer (Chicago & San Francisco).

Our fast-paced branding agency is looking for a medical writer who can deliver exceptional results for clients.

OVERVIEW

We need someone who can create accurate and persuasive language that promotes unique benefits and attributes for our clients and their projects while maintaining their brand identity and marketing strategy.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The ideal writer will be able to develop medical copy and assist with creative concepts across various mediums, including brand, print sales and marketing material, advertising, direct mail/direct response, email marketing, websites, and more. Core responsibilities will also include creating references and handling submission for medical/regulatory/legal review.  You’ll need to work closely with the Account Managers, Creative Team Leads and designers while maintaining an active presence in meetings and client conferences. You’ll need to deliver clear, concise copy on time based on established dates and project plans. You’ll need to be highly adaptable, learning multiple clients’ style guides for writing, editing, and proofreading of materials. You’ll also need to proofread and edit marketing materials for clarity, style consistency, spelling, and grammar – even if, and especially if, you didn’t write it. And you’ll need to do it all with a smile and a willingness to kick ass for the team!

REQUIREMENTS

Medical writing knowledge and experience, including handling references and annotations for medical/regulatory/legal review

Create authentic and persuasive copy that promotes unique benefits and attributes

Translate complex material into clear, concise and reader-friendly copy

Write headlines as well as concise body content

A super-positive attitude

Experience participating in client meetings (and weighing in on content)

The role of Senior Designer is responsible for conceptualization and design of graphic applications such as collateral material, environmental graphics, books and magazines, corporate identity, film titling and multimedia interfaces, from concept to completion. Designers applying should also be comfortable with taking the lead on project management and interfacing with clients when required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

In collaboration with a team, develop creative programs and design concepts that meet the business objectives of the organization and that advance our brand strategy. Manage the day-to-day of multiple projects from concept through completion. Participate in the conception and design of projects as needed agency wide. Seek the support and coordination of outside resources (proofreaders, writers, etc.) as needed. Manage and coordinate print and production of finished work as required – ensure projects get delivered on time. Manage the day-to-day project and client relationship. Participate in weekly team meetings. Follow up with teams to ensure project needs are being met.

REQUIREMENTS

3-5 years experience in branding/graphic design preferred, involving work in a team dynamic and communicating and interfacing directly with clients.
