We're looking for a Development Lead.

The Development Lead at Pivot Design is responsible for the development of graphic applications from concept to completion as they relate to digital materials, including websites, landing pages, microsites, emails, and apps. They are also responsible for driving the direction and growth of the web development team.

OVERVIEW

  • Oversee web infrastructure and development environments for a variety of clients

  • Demonstrate a passion for technologies and introduce advancements with the intent of finding the best solutions to challenges

  • Continually seeks to improve the hosting infrastructure, and quality of code on behalf of our clients

  • Optimize sites for speed, SEO, and overall user experience

  • Lead efforts in testing and usability

  • Serve as a mentor to team members, fostering and guiding them through projects while helping to ensure projects remain on schedule

  • Work to maintain the highest level of product quality, setting and maintaining, standards and methodologies 

  • Continually strive to grow development skills and share knowledge of relevant emerging technologies and trends with the broader team

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work closely with the account team as necessary (or independently) to drive projects forward

  • Participate in the development of digital projects as needed across the agency

  • Take static designs or sketches and translate them into responsive and fully functioning digital experiences

  • Hold responsibility for development on all digital executions and theming

  • Hold responsibility for establishing and guiding websites’ architecture, ensuring high-performance and availability, while managing all technical aspects of the WordPress CMS

REQUIREMENTS

  • 8+ years of direct development experience and 3+ years of experience running development teams

  • Experience creating WordPress themes from scratch

  • Knowledge of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript/JQuery, PHP

  • Proficiency in CSS frameworks, JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React), Grunt/Gulp, SASS, and other development tools/technologies

  • Experience with managed hosting such as Pantheon, e-commerce, app development

  • Familiarity with web design best practices and building user interfaces for websites and/or web applications

We’re looking for a Senior Frontend Developer.

The Sr. Frontend Developer is responsible for the development of graphic applications from concept to completion as it relates to all digital materials, including websites, landing pages, microsites, emails, and apps.

OVERVIEW

  • In collaboration with the team, write code that meets the business objectives of our clients and advances their brand strategies

  • Participate in the development of digital projects as needed across the agency

  • Seek the support and coordination of outside resources as needed

  • Manage and coordinate the handoff of finished work to account team, ensuring projects are delivered on time

  • Follow up with team members and project leads to ensure daily deliverables are met

  • Understand project scopes and track hours appropriately

  • Work with Digital Designers and Developers for all projects

  • Continually strive to grow development skills and explore new technologies and educational opportunities to enrich yourself and the team

  • Share knowledge of relevant emerging technologies and trends with the broader team

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

REQUIREMENTS

  • Programming skills include PHP, HTML, CSS, and JS and comprehensive knowledge of the WordPress CMS

  • Comprehensive knowledge and use of Git version control or equivalent version control

  • Experience with debugging tools like Devel, Xdebug, Firebug, Chrome inspector, etc.

  • Experience building user interfaces for websites and/or web applications from static layouts

  • Experience building responsive websites using the WordPress CMS, HTML/HTML5, CSS/CSS3, and JavaScript/jQuery

  • Experience executing in a LAMP environment

  • Experience with HTML/CSS development and extensive client testing of HTML e-blasts within Litmus and browser

  • Experience with MailChimp, Outlook, Exact Target, Constant Contact and other email programs for development, testing, and deployment as needed

We're looking for a Senior UI/UX Designer.

The Senior UX/UI Designer is responsible for conceptualization and design of graphic applications from concept to completion as it relates to all digital materials, including websites, landing pages, microsites, emails, and apps. While this position is primarily focused on UI/Digital Design, it also responsible for UX components such as wireframes, sitemaps, and functional specifications.

OVERVIEW

  • Develop creative programs and design concepts that meet the business objectives of our clients and advance their brand strategies

  • Manage and coordinate the handoff of finished work to the development team, ensuring deadlines are met

  • Demonstrates self management, being mindful of project scopes and internal proofing/QA

  • Collaborate with other designers and developers to help further the agency’s digital creative product 

  • Continually strive to grow as a designer and seek out educational opportunities to enrich yourself and the design team

  • Share knowledge of relevant emerging technologies and trends with the broader team

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Works closely with the account team as necessary (or independently) to keep project on task and on time

  • Review and collaborate on the work of Digital Designers as needed

  • Demonstrate strong design skills and strategic thinking

  • Articulate and present creative ideas and rationale to clients as needed

  • Execute on UX materials as a part of a multi-disciplinary team, including assets for sitemaps, wireframes, process flows and functional specifications

  • Follow established patterns, practices, and style guidelines when designing, understanding the rationale for their use and level of importance

REQUIREMENTS

  • Familiarity with the full web development life cycle

  • Experience with UX design patterns, standard methodologies and theories

  • Experience designing for mobile apps and responsive websites 

  • Significant knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, and prototyping tools (I.e. Invision)

  • Experience designing for the WordPress CMS

  • Understanding of how design translates to HTML/CSS and interactive web technologies

Lead and manage a creative team from concept to completion of the project(s) with strong creative leadership and communication skills. The role of Senior Designer is responsible for conceptualization and design of graphic applications such as collateral material, environmental graphics, books and magazines, corporate identity, film titling and multimedia interfaces, from concept to completion for our healthcare and pharmaceutical clients. Designers applying should also be comfortable with taking the lead on project management and interfacing with clients when required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

In collaboration with a team, develop creative programs and design concepts that meet the business objectives of the organization and that advance our brand strategy. Manage the day-to-day of multiple projects from concept through completion. Participate in the conception and design of projects as needed agency wide. Seek the support and coordination of outside resources (proofreaders, writers, etc.) as needed. Manage and coordinate print and production of finished work as required – ensure projects get delivered on time. Manage the day-to-day project and client relationship. Participate in weekly team meetings. Follow up with teams to ensure project needs are being met.

REQUIREMENTS
