Life more humann.

MannKind is a biopharmaceutical company on a mission to destigmatize chronic disease. They turned to Pivot initially for help relaunching the product website for Afrezza®, an inhaled form of insulin. That success sparked a bigger ask: now, 20 years after MannKind began, help them reinvent their corporate brand from the ground up. 

We started (where else?) with founder Alfred Mann’s name, which inspired a tagline that conveyed the company’s purpose: empowering Life more humann. Then we simplified to strengthen, creating a modern wordmark and singular color strategy anchored around a custom Pantone® color, “MannKind Magenta.” The reinvention touched every aspect of the brand, from employee onboarding and culture tools to sales engagement, investor relations, and a boldly reimagined website. The successful launch was featured in a March 2020 story in leading pharma industry publication, MM&M.
