Lurie Children’s Hospital “Building—for kids.” Annual Report

Project Overview

Lurie Children’s Hospital is the Chicago area’s top provider of pediatric specialty care, and Illinois’ only freestanding hospital exclusively for kids. Regionally, the hospital is ranked #1, based on volume, in all pediatric specialties. World renowned, Children’s has cared for children from every state and more than 35 countries.

This simple yet captivating annual report was created to celebrate the opening of Lurie’s revolutionary new facility. Our theme Building—for kids. captures this through the simple double entendre. The structure of the annual report reflects the hospital across Chicago’s varying seasons.

The annual report was designed and implemented in both web and print formats. The web version was designed and constructed as a single, scrollable webpage built using HTML5 animation and functionality. The website showcases the hospital’s new brand and also features video elements and outbound links to deeper content that allow it to better engage audiences and become a more thorough resource.

The simplified print version was produced as a single, accordion-fold companion piece.
